Question on 302 setup

Question on 302 setup
Ok, so the 88 GT I'm looking at has a set up I'm not sure about. I've heard something from one person saying the 80's 302 blocks were garbage, but it stems a little farther than that.
Ok, so this car is pretty much well built. Not the prettiest, but set up for drag.
It has the 88 302 block. New forged dish pistons with rings, but stock piston rods and crank. He ran it 3 times at the track with a 125 shot of nitrous. Now, how long do you think that engine is going to hold up with running it like that? He's got a 303 nitrous cam, aluminum heads 2.02 1.90 and 1.6 rollers.
How long do you think this car will last with that set up?
And do you think it will hold for awhile with a forged lower end?

Yeah, I was thinking about it. My buddy in HS had a Cavalier. Can't build those cars up. He was running a 75 shot on a regular basis and only ever blew his clutch.
Does anyone else have anything on this?

There are lots of people who run similiar setup's on here. As long as your car is tuned for it and your not exceeding the limits of the block (rpm & power wise) than youll be OK. What kind of power are you making NA? with spray? Most people dont push them motors past 500hp. It can definitely be done with ease, But after that its just a fact of how long until it goes.

are u talking about the one on your other thread the other day?
and like said a good tune or atleast pulling the timing and colder plugs, and good fuel support and it should be fine for a while especially a 100-150 shot anything past that on a motor like that and you could hit some problems

Well, I mean you can take your guess. It's running a trap right around 100mph and low 8 seconds in the 1/8 with about a 2.2 60' (crap). That's about the average of it's 3 runs, and the guy said the track wasn't prepped well. It was just my guess w/o it actually being on a dyno. What's your guys guesses? That was w/ a single stage 125.
But yes, this is from the car I posted about the other day.
