Default Need some advice for radiator and electric fans

Can anyone give me some advice on what setup would be the best way to go. I have an 85 GT with a 347 T-5, mini tubbed, etc... I am looking at the Be Cool Module setup and and Griffin rad with Spal fans. Are there any other combos out there worth looking at? Thamks...

Save yourself ALOT of cash and alot wiring with one of those spal fans and controllers. GO with a fluidyne or radiator of your choice, get a Taurus fan and hook up a high/low through a switch in the center (ashtray switch or something). Easiest way to do it IMO. the Taurus fans push ALOT of air but pull alot of amps as a downside. And if you want it to look nice you just make some brackets for the fan to fit the radiator like this...

hmmm never heard of firebird fans but Im sure people do it lol. The whole setup brand new will run like $550 bucks including the fluidyne radiator, taurus electric fan, painless center ashtray switch panel and misc stuff like wiring, connectors, relays, etc.

I know your running a 10x's more aggressive setup than me but I pretty much stock 302 in the car now, and I can beat the ***** off of it in 100 weather for a long a$$ time and not have to put the high switch on...

Some pretty good info here, but I'm going to tell you something a little different. Go with the Fluidyne, and the Taurus fan, but get a Delta Current Control to drive it and skip all the relays and switches and switch panels. It will be a little more expensive, but you will not have to think about it after the install. All the cars on the street don't require you to throw switches to make sure your car is cooling correctly, so why should yours? Go to http://www.dccontrol.com/0820.htm and read about it. It runs the fan only as fast as is required to keep the car at the temperature you want, and does it without you having to think about it. I think the one you need is the FK35. I don't work for them, just a satisfied customer. Just checked under the hood, and mine is the FK35. Good luck, and if you need help with the install, PM me.

Oh yeah, get the Taurus fan from the junkyard. 25 bucks. And if you haven't upgraded your alternator, make sure you do!

Don't mean to jack the thread but 88blueGT you got measurements on those brackets you mentioned? I may be the only one interested but I dont have access to the tools to make them so I would have to have a friend do it. Sorry for jacking but just wanted to ask... thanks

Oh and I believe it is the SN95 alt that bolts right up, correct me if Im wrong.
