Oil leak help!!!

Default Oil leak help!!!

ok ive had this oil leak for about 6 months dont know how to fix it.. im only 17 lol limited on my knowledge. i know the valve cover gaskets are leaking but not extremly. The main one i want to fix is either the front or rear main seal and i have no clue how to do it and or check to make sure it is that seal. any help?<IMG src=smileys/smiley5.gif border="0">

Default Oil leak help!!!



start with your easy gaskets, alot of the time the valve covers leak down the back of the block and appear to be a leaking main. change those first then power wash it and watch. if it is the rear main, you will need to pull the trans flywheel and clutch. not to fun. take a closer look at the back of the intake, i have had a few leak there. </P>

so be for you change any gaskets..change the pcv valve and clean the screen in the hole...this most likely has had a hand in your leaking of oil.
after changing the valve cover gaskets you can put in some blue dye to find all the leaks
