1983 Exhaust Mods Help
OK- picked up a bone stock '83 GT Convertible that I should probably leave only since they made only 1001 of them, BUT...can't deal with whimpy stock exhaust. Will run at the track (ran 15.8 all night this Friday) but mostly will cruise with the two kids and wife. Any recommendations for the best exhaust mods, and where to purchase would be awesome. Heard that BBK shorty headers to Flowmaster 40's works nice, but I want to hear from you guys.

dont forget about 1 more exhaust hanger for each side.
but yes, BBK equals, Mac Prochamber O/R pipe and a MAC catback sounds beautiful, cuz its what Ive gots lol
I washed my car in one of those, do it yourself washes... was pulling out of the stall, kicked it up to 3 grand for a moment, pure awesomeness reverberated across the entire stall...

Unless you plan on dropping some $$$ into the exhaust, you could just swap out the muffler. Changing out the exhaust means you'll need the headers, H-pipe, and cat back as well as the double hump trans crossmember and the added hangers for the exhaust. Price the stuff out before you jump in. The price can get close to $1000 depending on what you go with.
