Torque specs are 71-95 lb-ft for the driveshaft bolts. I was under the impression they were strapped like a GM car lol, thats what I get for not having the manual in front of me and not having had pulled one on a Ford yet.

Sometimes an air gun can become awkward, use a torque wrench that is at least a foot and a half long, they will come lose no problem.
OH VERY bad idea to use your torque wrench as a breaker bar, it can through off the calibration alot. I treat mine like it's made of gold.

Yah, I was going to say that about using the torque wrench to get them off. I would just get a breaker, they're not expensive at all.

Anyway, what is the deal with using electric tape and needle bearings? I don't really understand.

Mind you, I am not a mechanic, I do a lot of the work myself, but I rely on information from you guys, videos, mauals, etc.

So any help or details would be great. Thanks!!

I meant to say breaker bar, not torque wrench... LOL Thanks for the correction... my fault... Yeah, DO NOT use your torque wrench, use a 1 1/2' breaker bar! lol

The electric tape is used on the GM strap type U-joints to keep the dust caps on and the needle bearings from falling out. It was a mistake on my part I thought or assumed that the Ford U-joints and drive shaft were similar to the GM units. Thats what I get for posting and working at the same time lol. Sorry for the confusion.
