Well, think of it this way, would you put your old wheel bearings in a new rotor? No. You don't necessarily need the WHOLE bearing kit, though I would suggest it. At a BARE MINIMUM put a new pinon bearing and cup in. If it were my own rear-end, I would just put a new pinon bearing, and new carrier bearings on it, i wouldn't bother with the axles.

if you have a special bearing removal tool and press you can safely remove the pinion bearing and reuse it, bare min , you need an install kit with crush collor, pinion shims and carrier shims, the ford racing gears come with all except the last item= carrier shims

my car with 2.73's felt kinda quick, i can just imagine with the 3.73's
i already wanted to do the installation myself so i can drive it already, but i dont have all tools to do the job.
