Default AFR 165'S #1402 questions

I need a little tech help on my AFR 165's #1402 here is my problem these heads are going to be installed on my 302 with ARP studs so afr sent me some shims and thay said that thay need to be tapped into the head but the shims are bigger than the hole. I got one in after I beat the S#@$ out of it but now the stud wont fit did I F@#! UP or do I even need these dam shims. Any info would help me alot !!!!!!

shims??? the only thing I had to ever do was install bushings but that's cause I have the 185's, you shouldn't need any sort of thing for 165's , sounds like a afr rep is confused

those are the bolt reducers but i wouldnt think u should have to beat them in though....

yeah your right theyre just for 185s and up. 165s have 7 16ths holes the rest have 1/2inch holes so they can be used on a 351. you dont need them just use your washers that came with the studs.

didnt hav 2 dew that 2 mine you should tak it 2 a head shop or call afr up n tell 2 replace ur heads cuz of their wrong tech advice
