Default 5.0 conversion ..price

i have a 1992 lx convertible all most all stock 5.0 about 120k that im considering parting out and found someone that wants to do the 5.0 conversion
he wants at least the
motor and tranny
engine harness and computer
clutch pedal quadrant and cable
headers and h pipe
rear end
can i get $1500 out of this ?

what else might he need for the conversion?

$1500 sounds good to me. You can buy used 5.0 and trans for $500 each so that right there is $1000. And ive seen used computers go for $200 and up. Plus the other parts, sounds like a deal.

Throw in the double hump crossmember, motor mounts, and extra exhaust hangers if he still needs them. He may need the dash harness also.

Is he converting a V6 or a 4 banger?

I just paid 500 for a running high mileage 88 hatch 5.0.

1500 seems kinda high but run it past him he may be dumb enough to go for it.

I wouldnt though.5.0's are a dime a dozen.

i paid 800 for a full car to do a carb to efi swap it worked out great. 1500 might be asking a bit much if you car is not included

sound like a decent price, i mean if you were to buy all that from ebay thats about what you would pay for it. and yes 5.0s are a dime adozen but it all relates down to the condition and quality of the parts you have for sale
