GAS PEDAL GOT STUCK BEHIND FLOOR MAT
i have a 1992 lx with 19,000 original miles and decided to take it out today and when i got on it and this is the first time i've floored the car since i have had it ( some of you may not believe this ) and the gas pedal gets stuck and im in first gear, so i through it in nuetral and try to figure out what the hell is going on and after 30-40 seconds of the engine screamin i got the pedal loose. My question is how much damaged did this cause, there was no oil loss, the car sounded and drove fine afterwards but how do i know that it didnt bend something so next time im out it will blow? i think the rev limiter kicked in because the rpm where bouncin from 5800 and 6400. but trying to preserve this car i am worried i have doomed the engine by doing this, any help or peace of mind would be appreciated! thanks!

none... it has a rev limiter on the car to cut fuel if it was near damaging. but honestly no problems.. the rev limiters in all cars are lower than the max the motor or other things can handle so that it can protect them if in case point this would happen. so there's nothing wrong your car will be fine don't worry about it. don't stress out over it.

Dont use floormats on the drivers side unless they are fastened to the floor with clips or hooks of some sort, otherwise it will slide around on the heel pad. I no longer use a mat on the drivers side as it always ended up bunched behind the pedals, dangerous. Fasten it or dont use it one.
