hey guys, I finally got my car back and I'm in the middle of trying to put new brake pads on and I cant find out how to compress the brake pistons on the rear brakes I haven't gotten to the front yet. does anyone have any idea why its doing this and if theres a way to compress them? I'm goin crazy trying everything.
it would be greatly greatly appreciated if anyone could help me. thanks in advance

no. i believe the brake pistons have to be turned in clock wise with a special tool, you can't rent from autozone. check to see if the pistons have imprints usually two dots opposite sides from each other. i was in a hurry a few years ago and pushed in my piston on my maxima unstead of turning it in clockwise and had to buy a new caliper

your right cobra calipers need a special tool to turn them in. if you can't rent it locally CJPony parts has it for about 69.00

$69 bucks? maybe for the best one you can buy. if you dont do these types of brakes everyday, you dont need it. you can go to autozone and buy a little cube thing that fits on a 3/8 extension, has 6 different types of "nipples" on it to do the different types of twist in pistons. costs less than $5.

small c-clamp if you have one laying around and a pair of knipex channel locks have worked fine when I've helped freinds since my special tool is often at work in my box, but they are known as screw type calipers
