Default P/S vrs M/S.. Witch is better for a D/D?

I am trying to decide if taking the power steering out of my fox would be a good move. I only drive it on fairly nice days ( no rain, snow) But when i do drive it i drive it alot. I know the power gain would be worth it due to less drag on the motor, but all i can remember is how rough it was to drive some of my older vehicles that didn't have p/s. Anyone who has done this please let me know...

just keep it, the power gains you'd see would be minimal

I bought my 91, lx hatch with a flaming river high ratio manual rack in it. I drive it daily and it can be a challenge. Parking is a pain. If you are a weight lifter go ahead. It requires quite a bit of man handling. Two hands are required if pushing it hard around corners and such. I also don't think it is worth the H.P. I plan on reinstalling the power rack and pinion.

Thanks for the info. I am planning on buying a flaming river 15:1 quick ratio rack, but didn't know if it would be worth getting a manual or power... looks like i am gonna go with power...
