What does Stamp "Speed June 29 1983" under hood and trunk mean?

What does Stamp "Speed June 29 1983" under hood and trunk mean?
On my 83 GT Convertible, I have noticed a yellow stamp under both hood and trunk that reads "SPEED JUNE 29, 1983". I know that the manufacturing date was also June 83. Is this a factory stamp or something else?
