Default Rearend Question

I have an opportunity to buy a 97 T-Bird LX with an independant rear suspension with an 8.8 center. What i was wondering is could that be installed in my 87 fox. I know anything can fit custom wise but is there a kit? Or is it just a bad idea. I know thats its a wider stance, but the disk brakes would be a nice upgrade not to mention better handling independant suspension. Thanks

Disc brakes can be installed on your current setup from older tbirds for a cheap price. the independent rear is better on handling but your solid axle setup can work just as well. Plus a solid axle can take more of a beating than a independent can.

Ya you would be better of just upgrading your current rear end. In the long run it would be alot cheaper and stronger.
