Default Any1 ever heard of this? I havent

I have a mind-boggling problem, at least to me it is. I was on the way back from the gas station yesterday after filling my tank. Car was driving fine until I hit a huge freakin pothole with my rear wheels. The car stalled out i cranked it back up, a few secs later i hit a bump in the road and again it stalls out. Now it will crank up fine usually but as soon as I make a rolling tuen it stalls out. Basically any movement of the car and it shuts off. I can sit inside, imma a big guy and rock the car and it will shut off.

WHat can this be I really dont know where to start. I checked a few things but none of that is the problem. Could the inertia switch have gone bad. The car has a new walbro 255lph in the tank so i doubt its the pump.

Try jumping the inertia switch and see if the car runs fine. If not check our wiring to the pump. You may have knock something loose. Also there is a reset on the inertia switch if you have pushed it yet.

I have pushed the reset on the switch. I just have to check the wiring on the pump.

i believe he means something like bypassing the switch, since the switch itself could be bad or have a bad connection and just loosing connection

I doubt it's the inertia switch...first you need to find out if it's stalling due to loss of spark or fuel, sounds like you have a bad or loose connection somewhere, hooking a fuel pressure gauge up and performing what is known as the ford "wiggle" test by going around and lightly tugging on all harness connections in relationship to the fuel system or ignition system will help locate such a problem

It wasnt fuel or spark Both were checked, and the connections were all double checked. We disconnected the inertia switch banged it on the floor a few times and put it back. And nw the car runs fine, I dun really know what the problem was but im glad its gone.

Id just jump the switch since you said that made it run fine. All that is there for is when you get in a wreck the vibration shuts off the fuel pump.
