Default t5 to t56 swap questions

well I'm wanting to put a t 56 in my 90 5.0. I know I'm going to need a shorter driveshaft new crossmember and bell housing. Is there anything other than that. Thanks your help

there is a website, I forgot the name, I lost the link to it, that sells the t-56, both viper spec (the good one) and non viper spec (still good, but the viper one is better) in a complete kit for like 3K....

seriously, don't re-invent the wheel, get a tko. Are you doing it for the novelty of "hay I have a t-56"

its like voting for Obama, it just makes no sense.

To be honest I talked to the guys at G force when i was spec'ing trans and was told that the difference between the viper spec and reg t56 is the output shaft has a different spline count. everything else internally is the identical same

i would just get a tko man, cause well thats what i did when i blew up a t-5 lol. the new tko's shift really nice. you can opt to get the LOW OD gear i believe the one in mine is the .64 or .62. anyway it's lower than the stock t-5. i like mine and if the t-5 in my 95 blows then it's tko time again for me
