Exclamation 1979 Mercury Capri Exhaust

Hi, I have a 1979 mercury capri its a v8 5.0.
I took it to the mechanic, and I found out that it need everything behind the cat. converter. (In terms of exhaust)
Questions:
1.What parts does that all include? (I know like the muffler..but what else and please go into detail if possible)
2.Is there a place online that I can find the parts I need? (Can't find the parts on any site)
3.Are the parts I need interchangeable with a 1979 ford mustang? Meaning if I bought all the parts I need as if I had a 1979 mustang would they fit on my capri.
Thanks a lot for all of your help.

your going to need mufflers, flow tubes and tailpipes

a catback would suffice, and yes, an LX mustang catback should fit with no problems, they are almost the same car...

as for where to get it, 50resto.com or summitracing.com should suffice, just look in the exhaust sections and check out catbacks

http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...0%201&comp=LRS
So that should fit, and that would be everything I need correct?

^^^^^^^^^that will only work if you have dual exhaust now!!..if not, you'll need a double hump cross member, h-pipe and the catback system you want and when converting to dual exhaust the brake line on the right side by the axle may need to be relocated

'79, wouldnt that be a 255 aka 4.2, not a 5.0? or was the motor swapped?

if im not mistaken, werent all of the capris 5.0s with dual exhaust

actualyl, nevermind, there were 4 bangers, but his isnt (squiggley smiley face)

OP, it should work, just make sure you have dual exhaust and enough room to run the pipes...

no not until 85 did dual start, capri's follow the mustang pattern, in 79 it would of been single and it is a 302 not 255, 255's were in 80 or 81 I believe
