Arrow Fuel Question

I will be using the stock pump to get my fuel from the tank and was told you have to cut the sock off, and fit a piece of fuel line on there so that it stays at the bottom of the tank. anyone do this before? i guess what i mean is, i have to run fuel line from the pump to the top of the stock pump, then run another piece at the bottom of the stock pump. i just dont know how it would attach on the top of the pump.

where is the best place to mount the elec pump, regulator and which side of the car is best to run the fuel line on? ive heard of people running it througn the fame rails, but ive never done this before. I also heard that your FPR HAS to be mounted on your firewall of something like that... any truth to that

oh, and how the hell do you run a return line on a carb'd setup? or do i have to at all? damn.. more questions... if i deciede to go without the original pump in there, how will i be able to tell fuel level?
