89 has alot of the nice changes. That's what I would suggest. Any fox is a good fox though Find something you like and run with it.

88's are the same, right? Sounds like the 88's are just like the 89's just a year older.

88 have speed density, except in cali which have MAF.

GT effects on a notch? that looks weird in my mind...but then again it looks fine on a convertable, so I guess it would look ok on the notch

No, on a hatch. GT effects on hatch, LX effect on notch.

So what is tilt steer? Did the 1990 graduate to power steering or something?

tilt is just the ability of the steering wheel to tilt up and down to better suit the driver...not really necessary to have it but its nice to have...all the years said so far have power steering.

Okay, my SN95 has tilt. And I take back what I said about the notch without the cowl. Notches look naked without a cowl.

I'll be starting to save probably in december, I want to pick one up before the end of snow season.

here's a question:

Stock tail lights look like ***. Aftermarket tail lights I've found are cartoony and ricy, any suggestions on aftermarket taillights, for example ones that look all red or something?

the air bag came about in 90. 89 was the ONLY maf car with no air bag unless you have a cali car. and i hope you arent trying to say the pistons etc are forged because they are really hypo pistons, i prefer those myself they dont need to expand and are a tighter fit so they will be less likely to wear a motor down as quick.
me personally, i'd say get a carb.... if you're broke, carbs are cheaper. instead of 600 bucks for an intake, 150 for a t/b, egr spacer, and 250 for injectors, you can buy an intake for about 250, and a carb for about another 250.... much cheaper and you dont have to take it to someone to tune it with a computer. i would much rather have a setup like my 83. i bought the roller for 400 bucks.....
