Default Could i have an 85GT motor in an 89GT an pass smog?
Carburetd 85GT motor in a 89 shell if i get a carb with egr and or intake with egr would / could it pass smog ????

It will depend on the visual inspection requirements in your area and ot tailpipe/ treadmill test, but whether it passes tail pipe or not will all be in the carb tune, a long block 85 gt roller motor is not really much different than an 87-95 long block save a few spec diffs on the cam but nothing that'll really affect emissions

...All depends on your state & there inspection requirements...Upstate NY would not even be an issue...
