Default 87 5.0 wont start

ive come to the conclusion that its not getting enough fuel pressure im going to replace the filter incase it is clogged and check for correct injector pulses, if i have all that and i need to replace the fuel pump will a 255 lph be to much for a stock engine, i dont want to buy a smaller one now and have to upgrade down the road im looking at the bbk intank pump on summit for $130 and 90psi max

No. You can have a 255 or 190 or w/e and it won't hurt it or overflow. It's just capable of pumping that much if your engine demanded it. (like a generator, you can power up a light bulb for a very small flashlight and it wont burn it out cause of too much electricity, but if needed can power up a huge search light) This is what ive been told as you can have a higher fuel pump on a completely stock vehicle and it won't hurt it.

Yeah it uses a return system so any unused fuel is sent right back to the tank.
