Default need help/advice/opinions

ok. heres the deal. '92 GT with 152k miles on stock engine. still runs good and strong. it MIGHT burn a quart of oil between oil changes.

now, i wanna be faster, so heres what i was thinking. i was thinking about ordering a 306 Streetfighter shortblock from CHP with either 10:1 or 10.5:1 cr. running stock heads and intake for a while, and MAYBE upgrading the cam, but havent decided yet. other mods id throw on would be an electric fan, C&L 73mm maf, my March u/d pulleys, a Kirban adj fpr, BBK shorties, hi-flo h-pipe and a set of American Thunder 2.5" 2-chambers. now, with those mods, would i be alright to run the stock 19# injectors, or would i need to upgrade to 24's ? and, would i also need a 7qt oil pan, or do you only NEED one of those for stroker motors, and not just a bore job.........also....if i do decide on a cam, which one would you all recommend.

and what #'s do you think id be pushing out....am i being too hopeful wantin 250whp out of that combo, or would that be about right, or do you think itd be more ? im also gonna be running 3.55 gears, 31-spline Mosers and carrier. thanks in advance for replies/opinions/advice. see ya

you dont need a 7 pt oil pan bc i have the stock one on my stroker and its fine also you dont need 24's with the stock heads but if you are going to spend the money on the engine you should at least get heads and a cam and the 24's. I also would go with a 76mm MAF and get a guage with the AFPR

dont get me wrong, i definitely want h/c/i, but, im also building a Honda too for gas mileage, so, thats why im laying off the h/c/i for now. probably til i get out of school. and i could definitely use the 76mm maf, but, i dont NEED it. and i also planned on getting gauges: a/f, fuel pressure, oil pressure, and water temp(all from Autometer), so, ill have the gauges taken care of.....and a shift light to go on the dash.

i would trade the a/f to a volt bc the a/f really doesnt work bc its not a wide band reader

for the price of that stroker motor you could probably rebuild your 302 and have your stock heads ported and polished with bigger valves, throw on a nice used intake and make 250 whp no problem. also run 3.73 or 3.90 gears and don't get an a/f gauge. get a voltgauge like stanglx said.
