Default need opinions asap on header gasket.

Since my BBK headers love me so much I found that I was missing two nuts (on the back side of the #7 and #8 cylinder)

I went and got a set from Advance and the #8 one went in no problem but the #7 tube is bent back just far enough that I can't get a regular hex head to fit (it is to long, the tube throws the head out)

so i'm going to try to pull of the header and back thread a stud (just like the one used where the oil dipstick support is mounted.) and try and do it that way. aka:: the hard way.

I was wondering if I need to change the gasket or if I can just use the old one, maybe just put some hightemp gasket maker on it?

I already have the gasket maker and don't really want to buy a gasket if I don't need to...money is really tight right now.

I would use RTV ultra copper around the exhaust ports on both sides of the gasket and it should seal up okay, the stud idea sounds like a good plan.

felpro gasket part# 1415 cost 22 bucks plus tax. i've bought two sets plus the set that came with the kit. so i can understand not wanting to spend anymore on gaskets but if i was in your shoes just buy the new ones
