Default 4.250in stroke in a 351?

hey guys i just saw a crank with a 4.250 stroke from eagle. and since im changing out my crank anway in my 408 i figured why not get some more cubes while im at it. my question is will this crank work with a stock 351 block. i know the block had to be notched to fit the 408 crank in it but just barely. has anyone put this size crank in there 351 block?

Dont do it, your first issue is the big end of the rod will be way up in the cam tunnel and will have a near 99% chance of hitting the camshaft in multiple areas. Its too much stroke for the stock block, 4.170 is the max I would be comfortable with. Is this a pure 100% race motor or street cruiser?

its a street car. and i wouldnt be using the rods i have now. i think they were like 6.700 for this crank. and that really sucks haha that seemed like an awesome idea. what type of block do i need to run a crank like that?

6.700 are for a big block, you mean 6.125-6.200 or 6.250. You can use this crank when your building a serious motor in a dart or world block. Gotta know what you are doing because even a simple 427 using the 4.170 crank in a stock block alot of times will be very close to hitting a cam lobe with the rod.
