Hey well I had an eaton 28 spline unit with frpp 3.73's and in my opinion... great purchase! and from what I heard eaton units have a good warranty and can be rebuilt if god for bid they do break after the warranty! just my experience!

gears will deff wake it up. I'd say a rebuilt stock tlok will work just fine, however get hardened 4lug axles while your in there.
i put my gears in with the help of a professional and altho it didn't seem "hard" its very time intensive and if you don't have somebody helping that knows what they're doing then take it to a professional.

exactly, if you know what your doing, we took our sweet time so i could get more out of it. it took us 8 hours to do it. but we ran back and forth from our work to my house to use presses and crap. that was the bulk of the time, if we did it all at our work we coulda had it done in 4-5 hours while taking our sweet old time.

i had a 98 GT with auburn pro series limited slip unit and for racing 4.10 gears installed by a guy who buils race rearends. for racing gears for sure, they require no break in they are pre ran for break in. never buy richmond gears they wine. i truly believe in the auburn unit. car hooks better and when you do spin it will leave 2 black marks everytime. it doesnt have clutches to wear out it has cones in it. the unit was recomended by the builder. and i love it. when i do my rearend in my 90 GT i will go with that unit again

ok Ill look into the hardened rear end, no one has suggested that. Im from the Livonia area, u from Michigan? Ya one of the guys I work, his brother knows the in and out of the mustang, so he said he would be able to held me out. He has done a few so I think i will be in good hands.
