Hey! Last winter I went to an Eaton posi with 31 spline axles (5 lug conversion though), and I love it. Stuck with the stock rear but completely rebuilt the inside with frpp 4:10 gears, carbon fiber clutches, springs, races, bearings the works and it came close to 900$ (just the rear). Hardest part was getting the right backlash and finding the right schims. Total project was about 4 hours for me and my mechanic. Anyhow, goodluck bro!

ok good to know, ya i thought about doin the 5 lug at the same time but dont want to have to get new tires rims etc. I want a supercharger late next year. I have been told that 4 lug is good under around 450hp. Where did you get all your parts from.

Thanks for the link ctgreedy

I do all my business through a company called Western Motorsports. They're based out of Calgary, Alberta and I've always enjoyed the service. Very personal and always open to any questions and assistance. The website is wmsracing.com.

I got the moser stock replacement axles, they are much stronger than stock

Also I would like to recommend getting the ARP 2.5" wheel studs, only STEEDA sells them, they are very strong, they are long enough for many wheels and for track officials to sign off as you need to have longer than stock many times to drag race... i think if you run slicks, depending on local track rules

014-7703
Steeda 2.5" Racing Wheel Stud $5.95

the 3" commonly found will not fit stock "pony" wheels or "phone dial" wheels (CHP> SSP the 10 hole wheels) if you try to put the wheel caps back on but the 2.5 work out perfect. There is no need to "upgrade" to 5 lug axles/wheels unless you just have your heart set on a specific wheel. Notice most serious folk have their slicks mounted on 15" wheels anyway... also its cheep to keep the wheels you've got its not like there aren't choices for 4 lug... you will never break them, so many things will break before your new moser axles and 4 arp wheel studs its a non-issue

here are the steeda/arp 2.5" studs on my moser 28 spline axles
