If you turned the idle stop down then the throttle blade is probably sticking in the bore.

I've had mine stick a few times, usually when its cold. i was merging onto the interstate, and hammered on it and it got stuck. i was doin about 115 when it finally let loose. I never figured it out, so hopefully it won't do it when there are cars in the way.....

This must be why they say not to mess with the throttle body adjustments. ;)
Put it back, buy a Tweecer, and change idle through the eec. |
stickin throttle
a tweecer would be nice but a little expansive to adjust the idle though?
|
stickin throttle
Oh but there is so much more you can do... ;)
Get the tweecer, create more power. Factory tune is a serious compromise between emissions, power, and economy. Screw the economy and emissions and you can create a fair bit more power. |

I agree...I can help in getting a new one a lil cheaper

Outstanding vfast. 19.95 and they throw in a chip for free. And if you order now, you get an additional tweecer, great for sending as a christmas gift. Included in the purchase, at no additional charge, is a recipe collection of software guaranteed to increas your hp or send it back for a full refund.
All kidding aside, email me, as I'm seriously considering it. As an aside, can it be used to reprogram a maf for larger injectors? |
stickin throttle
No, you can't reprogram your maf.
But, if you have a popular maf (or have the 30 point table for it) you can just load the MAF transfer table and then tell the EEC what size injectors you've got and it will (read: it's supposed to) automatically adjust. |
