Default swaybar question

ok i just got a 94 gt and i was lookin under it and someone has cut the rear swaybar off of it with a torch,it has been lowered so why would someone cut it off,and it doesnt have aftermarket c/c plates on the front, wouldnt it need them to be aligned?i have a 95gt convertible that i can get the sway bar off of so its not a big deal,im just wandering y they cut it off.and is there a difference in the exhuast on a convertible, like as in location of the flanges, some one has done a hackjob on the 94 and they cut the cats off and welded everything up solid,so im gonna get an o/r pipe and take the tailpipes and mufflers of the 95,they bolt up all the same right?i dont know alot about wuts different on the convertible.
