Default EGR Vaccum

Where should I get Vacc from for the hook up on the EGR? I though off of the tree on the back of the upper intake but that caused the EGR to go wide open at idle. Any pics or Diagrams would be great.

It comes from the egr solenoid. Not from a direct port. That's what causes the egr to be open at idle when it shouldn't be.

The Electronic Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EEGR) system is controlled by the Electronic Control Assembly (ECA) , based on return signals from various engine components. The EEGR system utilizes a valve position sensor, and a solenoid-type vacuum regulator device. Circuit power is supplied through the ECA power relay, and circuit ground is provided internally by the ECA.
The EGR Valve Position (EVP) Sensor informs the ECA of the EGR valve's position through a voltage return signal. This signal is directly proportional to the amount of exhaust gas being recirculated. The EGR Vacuum Regulator (EVR) controls the vacuum applied to the EGR valve diaphragm.

NOTE: Other Vacuum Related Components may be incorporated into the EEGR system, depending on vehicle model and Calibration.
