Default Starting the one wheel burn

My 87 is starting to only spin one wheel, so I'm guessing the trac-lock is done.

Any ideas on what I should replace it with keeping in mind Im on a budjet. I was looking at this. http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...0%201&comp=LRS

My next question is: How hard are they to replace?

i don't even think you'd need that. just get a rebuild kit with the cf clutches and you'll be set. or if you want to upgrade axles to 31 splines, you could either get an aftermarket diff like the one you linked us or be like me, save money and just get an explorer 8.8 tlok

I don't think Im gonna bother rebuilding the old one. I will just get a new one.

So just changing the track loc unit is too bad?

you pull the cover, then pull the axels if you've never done it before, pull the bolt that holds the dowel in the center then pull the dowel, after that the axels are able to slide in slightly and you can pull the c clips off. then they slide out. pull the 4 bolts holding the diff in and pull the ring gear off

So once you get the ring gear out, you can get to the trac lock unit. I've never messed with the rear gears so I don't want to f it up.

I have pull the axles before just haven't messed with the gears.
