1.7 Rockers won't fit GT40 Heads...?
#22
I pretty much gave up for the day earlier and went to grab a beer with some of the boys. I am going to get started first thing in the morning tomorrow. Even if the timing was off that wouldn't explain the leak. Looks like I'll pull the driver side head and lay a new gasket and go from there. Not too much work so I'm not really that mad. Thanks for all the advice so far guys. I'll get back to you tomorrow.

Okay, finally some progress. The oil leak was due to a piece of rubber hose coming off the back of the intake that was cracked. Now, the car runs great and idles awesome but I still have white smoke (possibly the oil is burning off the exhaust pipes) and a screeching noise. Trying to get you guys a video but I don't have a camera or anything. I'll keep trying though. Any ideas guys?

I actually posted a video in another topic. I took the belt off and it doesn't go away. I'm think either I got some anti freeze on the crank or I blow a cam bearing..
