I somewhat agree with what you're saying, I love GT 40 Irons, but saying that I have stock E7's and putting down some good numers at the track is something to talk about...+if you can do the head work youself, wht not!

The gt40 are definately better than e7's. I saw that article also.http://www.mustang50magazine.com/techarticles/4379_gt_40p_heads/index.html I think the cheapest way to go would be to buy some AFR's or trick flows or some after market heads. By the time you have the gt40's or e7's redone you would close to the price of the after market heads and they would not be nearly as good.

if i had the cash flow id be ordering a set of afr 185s right now. iv got a freind running 185s, stock 351 ,victor jr,comp cam(forgot the grind) on a carbed motor he went a 12.12 spinning a good 100ft and it driven daily(or was to he decided to go with a c4)

i dont know who you take stuff to to get work done but..... whoever is charging as much as 1300 to port out some heads is RAPING your wallet!

skip the stock e7's and go strait for a set of gt40's they will outperform any e7 head,289 head period.
