You can't go 'buy one" But you can build one. Been done for 2k or under, and its being done for 2k or under right now, look at fivepointohh's post, he doesn't even have a grand yet.

If I would have kept everything stock in my car, I wouldn't have spent 2k on my turbos I got almost everything I needed for 800 dollars, another 500 for fuel supporting mods and I would have been there.

Get some turbos out of a junk yard, flip some shortys buy some mandrel bents and then you need fuel pump (110) injectors (200) MAF (150 on the high side) and an adjustable fpr (40).

Plenty of people have done it.

tb (150), new exhaust to fit the turbo set up (???), fuel pressure regulator ($65), etc

dont get me wrong...getting a kit together the way you mentioned will work and is a lot cheaper but realistically its gonna take more money than $2000. Not to mention the car still will need a tune.

Definition of torque: something that produces or tends to produce torsion or rotation; the moment of a force or system of forces tending to cause rotation.

Definition of horsepower:Horsepower is defined as work done over time. The exact definition of one horsepower is 33,000 lb.ft./minute. Put another way, if you were to lift 33,000 pounds one foot over a period of one minute, you would have been working at the rate of one horsepower. In this case, you'd have expended one horsepower-minute of energy.

Hope this helps your tq vs hp argument.
I'm aware of what it is. If both of you hooked equally & he had a stall that had a flash point of where he developed that 400hp I'd say he probably would have got you quite badly off the line. & Also i'm kind of curious how that guy was turning 15000+ rpm since that's about what it would take for your 130/400 #'s to be correct.

I will verify an earlier post, to an extent. For 94/95 Ford offered a special order Mustang called the GT-40, it was designed by SVO and used the following:

B-303 cam
SVO GT-40 Upper/Lower intake (same as Cobra but with larger ports and no cobra plaque)
GT-40 X303 Heads
1.7 roller rockers
70mm throttle body

Rated at 290 bhp, so yes, an ecam could put you near or over the 300 bhp mark, however they're outdated and I'd look into a newer series of cams, especially if you wind up with a 94/95 as the ECUs in those years do not like cam swaps.

go look at the thread i started about my neighbor. he's posted the amount of money hes spent as well as step by step build pics. so far its at about 800 dollars(thats everything, FP, FPR, guage, intercooler, turbo, piping, wastegate, bov, maf, injectors, muffler, couplers) i think and he's done mocking everyhting up as far as all the piping. he just needs to weld in the rest of the exhaust from the K memeber to the axel(hour or so of work) and weld in the o2 bungs. DIY turbo builds can be done very inexpensive if you browse alot looking for the right parts. with the tune he'll be at about 1300ish bucks. you said it yourself in your own thread...dont be so doubtful
