power seat
My power seat does not go up or back in my 94gt. It has been like that since I got it (I have only had it 3 weeks). Will a power seat motor out of a cougar or t-bird work?

Also I do not know what year the T-bird or Cougar is but I do know that the both new enough to have 4.6 engines.

have you checked the fuse? its a 30A. if the motors not even trying to move it could be that.

No the tilt on it works but when i try to move it up or back it sounds like it has a stripped gear.

mine jammed up on me a couple of years ago. I took it out and cleaned and re-greased the worm gear and it has been working perfect since.

its a fuse i forget which one but that happend to me during the summer.

No its not a fuse you can hear the gear slipping, so it is trying to work.

youve probably already tried but have you pushed down on the seat and try to help it back or forth? my seat doesnt move unless i do that.
