what is the safe rpm limit on stock 5.0 bottom end im not talking about heads and vavle float just bottom end max rpm are they good for atleast 6k
Nothing is safe....... I've worked stock cases that have failed at 5000 rpms.... and run other stock cases that have withstood 6800+ rpms with no problems...... yet valve float DOES have a say in how high they can survive.
im carbed witha single plane intake just windering if 6000 to 62 is safe on stock internals
It should be OK. There are no sure things. The stock cranks are fairly decent but the weak link in the stock bottom end are the rod bolts. When a rod bolt stretches it distorts the rod cap and the rod bearing spins. If that thing still has the stock heads the peak power has already nosed over and its wasted rpm. If everything is stock but the intake and carb I'd be making those shifts before 5000 rpm. Tell us more about the car
