12 sec car is an easy recipe. All motor, no problem.

Last example from me. My car with ANY "ANY" junk yard 5.0 engine, running properly will run 12.50s @ 104 (+ or - 1mph) and 12.30s on slicks

Why..... The car, light, suspention, good tires, decent driver, and a well put together combo that worked. tremac 3550, 4.30s, good clutch. With this I would go through a motor every year, and with a 100hp shot 11.60s and a 6month motor. My reson for tell you is this MOTOR isn't all it takes. As far as motor goes, good home ported heads or entry level (powerheads ect...) will do. A "B" or "E" cam or something close, 1 1/2 long tube headers H pipe and a good set of mufflers then dumped, cheap roller rockers, not much just RIGHT

Tell us what you whole package is. You already stated a respectable 12 sec ride is the goal.

One last thing, with out deep pockets it will not be done next week, but is a lot cheaper that you are thinking right now. It just takes a little patients.

Hell I embarased a "Claimed" 11.50 car with my wifes 07 Nitro R/T (6 cyl auto). lol My point being that there are a lot of dreamers out there that hype their cars.
