79-86 Brake upgrade with stock spindles

Anyone have any idea on a better rotor and caliper setup using the stock spindles on a 4 eye? I don't want to upgrade to the better spindles yet so I am just getting ideas.
I know Performance pads and shoes along with SS lines go a long way but come on who's got ideas on this?

^^^why not upgrade?? I got the spindles and calipers all off ebay from some one and converted my 4 eye, then got some ebc rotors and pads and it was a vast improvement over stock for fairly cheap:)

Well the same reason I say I don't want to upgrade yet basicly kills the idea of getting something better anyway and that is I have brand new rotors/pads/calipers/bearings out front that were given to me awhile back.
But I will eventually upgrade, I just can't decided if I am gonna go 5 lug or just stay 4.

Hell in my situation my brakes are great anyway. From going from just using the front brakes to all 4 after replacing leaking wheel cyl, to getting ready to have new shoes in the rear (one shoe is all the way to the metal and was grinding on me yesterday)I think that will be alot better so far :)
Thanks for the reply anyway, I know this was just a dumb thread to post anyway since my mind was already set on what I am doing right now.

Now that I think about it upgrading to the bigger brake booster from a 87+ 5.0 and master cylinder would benefit me better after the new shoes in the rear.

Carquest has crossdrilled and slotted rotors for front of your car. Will a the rear differential out of a turbo coupe tbird work because they are disk brake and some have 3.73's.

And will that info I would have to upgrade the spindles. Again not within what I was looking for in my question originally. But thanks. I read that before I posted the question.

wow so i can use 83-88 ranger front rotors with the stock caliper and spindle in the front? i always thought you had to use sn95 stuff. i seem to get the drift that this applies to my 86gt but nothing newer? why is that? different front strutts? .so im confused do i need the spindle too or just the rotor?

lose the spindles then, wtf , they were free right?! hmmm.....or
hydro boost kits? but i bet thats alot more money than spindles. infact why dont you sell your free newer spindles after you upgrade and get the brakes how you want them

I did this swap for a customer as he brought me ranger rotors. The center hub on the rotor is longer so check to make sure you have clearance with the wheels that you use.
