any tips that will help me pass smog. I just sold my mustang, and I need to smog it. I have a new H-pipe with hi-flow cats, the car passed when I first bought it, the only thing I changed was put a 70mm tb. and changed the therm to 180 and bumped the timing to 14*. will it pass as is? any tips that will help it, It will be close to passing if not pass, but just in case what re some tips, I know to drive it on the freeway for 10-20min that helps. any tips? Also will the smog place have a problem with the mufflers, There is no pipes/dump, just straigh out the muffler?will they have a problem with that?

put in a 195* stat
set timing to 8*
make sure the tps is set right
lower fuel pressure (ive heard you can go as low as 30psi)
run 89 octane (not sure why thats just what i heard)
run some stp fuel system cleaner the tank before the smog test
oil/filter change

ive also heard of running a bottle of rubbing alcohol in a .25 tank of 89 octane (never tried it)

i passed smog with no mufflers, guy was pissed cause the noise but other than that he wasn't trippin too much.

I still failed with cats on my car twice, put some dry gas in my car the 3rd time and passed

nope, just turned down the timing to 10*, left everything the same. I have headers, h-pipe,flowmasters,70mmtb,cai, everything except heads and came, and upper intake manifold.
