Widest Rims that will fit
#32
I understand what you are talking about as far as footprint or actual tread width. It doesen't really have to do with manufactuer but it has more to do with aspect ratio of the sidewall. The taller the skinnier. A 40 series 275 has a footprint of dang near 10.5. I have measured. But I bet you side wall to side wall my 275 street tire is dang close to your 275 drag radial. My 275 on 10.5 rims fits well. My side walls are perpendicular to the road there is no stretch. I put on numerous tires a day and I put these on my self. You know when a tire is stretching to fit when you have to bead blast it to get it on. I had to actually push the sidewall down in order to get the arm of the mounting machine on. So saying a 275 has to stretch to get on a 10.5 rim is not true. I do these all day.

I never implied you were a noob. I guess we can just agree to disagree. But Symonds86 the rims look good. You have matching rims out front though? You will appreciate the hook you get with the 275's. Looking forward to seeing the car when its done.
