not really they share just about the same characteristics. you shouldn't even worry about alphabet cams. get a custom one

e cam..... b cam sux!!! i had a b cam and hated it..... diddent have power till about 3500 and quit pulling at about 4800 i then put a 4 degree advance on the cam and just made it worse.....

but agree custom grind ftw!!!

I have the Steeda #18 cam in my 88 5.0. I am very happy. The only thing I would like would be a bit better idle. That is the trade off. It pulls hard and for a wide range. Sounds tough at idle. N/A with manilfold, head mass air, cold air intake and 3.55's. I beat my friends 2005 ZO6 with it. Check it out

letter cams.... they still sell them? thats ashame

comps xe line isnt bad, but again, theres better out there

how bout u tell us what your doing with the car... what head/intake combo? nitrous? blower? n/a? all these things matter

ofcourse, custom is a good choice, but not always NEEDED

Yes..... valve events, duration, lobe profiles, etc, etc. Are either worth comparing?.... nope. There are better options out there....... ranging from the best custom cam for your setup, to a "close enough" OTS cam that can provide the goods. If a custom is out of your plans, Comp Cams have acceptable SADI core options that will work, as long as that valve train is set correctly.... what are you looking for, and what is the rest of your combo?.
