Default pulling motor

is it easier to pull the motor and tranny together than it is to just pull the motor ?

what? i would think the opposite. but i have never pulled the motor out with the tranny connected. i would think you would have to have the car jacked up really high, have the piece that makes you be able to tilt the motor(can't remember what its called) or take the radiator, the condenser and front bumper off.

i've done it quite a few times
for one, you should pull the radiator anyway.
all you do is undo the tranny crossmember and that saves you the time of trying to get in under the car and to the top bellhousing bolts.
you dont have to have it jacked up high, the motor will tilt back with the added weight of the tranny, but thats ideal, it helps the motor clear the radiator support.
just period it's MUCH easier to pull both together than separate them

duh, i would always pull the radiator, don't want a 300 dollar rad fcuked up on a mishap when pulling the motor. but its good to know that its really not that hard to pull both together

remove the driveshaft after you take the exhaust down if your taking them out
together you don't want to make any bigger mess than possible and make it as
simple and easy to clear everything without having to keep stopping and making
sure your not hitting or rubbing something. I tape a plastic back when I take the driveshaft
loose to catch the fluid just a little cleaner way to do from my experience.

no you gotta pull out the whapping 4 bolts that hold the driveshaft on the diff. sry, i was assuming things.
i'm sure it COULD be done without pulling the d/s but.... i've always pulled it, it's not hard...
