i don't see a problem with stock gauges as long as you know your car. a gauge that jumps up/down/up/down/etc is obviously F'ed up, but if your temp gauge sits at the M in normal or at the N, it doesn't matter as long as you can stand in front of the car with the hood up and KNOW that the car aint overheating. that's my opinion.

Thats right. I have an 88 GT. Guages work just fine and the car is as old as dirt. So no reason to get ugly aftermarkets.

yeah i think i will pick up an aftermarket gauge to see what the temp. actually is. I was thinking about air in the stystem since i did replace the plug, how can i get the air out, or will it eventually work its way out?

OK, dumb question, what's a good temp for the car to run at when the outside temp is 90 degrees? I was driving around today and my needle hovered at 200-210ish, it's that normal?
