You could do 4.56 gears and 28" tall tire no problem. You would probably go through the traps right around 5500rpm depending where you shift. The car would launch hard as hell though.

5-Speed 3:55 or 3:73 Auto

I dont get on the highway but with my 4:10's at 60mph, Im starting to wound out and my tranny temp is getting sky high the longer I drive.

Street and 1/4 mile only = 3:73 5 Speed, if you want first gear usefull.

Im thinking either 4.30 or 4.10s
I dont want first gear to have a insanely small amount of traction either due to all the torque
Would 4.30s cause that effect?

No clue, all the tracks around here closed atleast a month ago so i have no way to run it. I calculated it and the top speed with 4.10's and the +-26inch tires its at 113. So you can kinda do the math, its a stock car other than drag radials and gears, so probably 14.- doing 8-mph at around 35-3800 rpms?

Like i said, all guessing.

I went against every one back in the day and put 4:30s, and beat every one who said don't do it. I LOVE 4:30s. Stock motor in my car 4:30s 12.50 all day 105 or so. Yes big tires 275 / 60 / 15. But even with 26 M/T slicks and a stock motor I went through the 1/4 before reline in 4th. PUT THE 4:30s, I still have mine, 126.5 @ 7000 now
