Default Electric fan issue

My electric fan(installed 1 month ago) stays on after turning off the car. It stays on for alittle while then turns off. Stay off for one of two minutes then kick back on for a minute then turns off again. This cycle happens again and again, like 4 or 5 times. My thermostat on the fan is set to 180 degrees. What could the problem be?

Here is some more information that may help:
Black Magic eletric fan
Brass radiator(getting old)
plasic aftermarket resorvor (Summit brand)
Edelbrock water pump
180 Thermostat
recently flushed
added 60/40 water/coolant and Water Wetter

Car was running fine with stock clutch fan just a bit hot around stop and go driving. After installing the electric fan ran hotter around the city and on the highway. Revs more freely but not cooling well.

could have a bad thermostat, but when the car sits after it is shut off it's normal the temp in the cooling system may rise a little causing the thermostatic switch to activate the relay that controls fan operation, however this should only happen once, cause once the fan kicks on and lowers temp below switches threshold for activation it should remain off, so could have a bad thermostatic switch or relay set up.

Thanks for the input. Will check into changing the thermostat. Update later.
Does anyone else have this same fan? Good or no good?

If you have the e-fan wired so it can turn on with the key in IGN OFF, those cycles will occur.
