if its a faint squeak, then its the throw out bearing. If its a loud squeal, its in the tranny.

Not the trans, I would say bearing, The squeal goes away with pressure on the bearing, it doesn't take much to make it go away. I have had two fail that were just days old, buy cheap, get cheap. I would bet it's the bearing

Can someone explain to me how it can be a throwout bearing with the clutch engaged if the clutch is adjusted properly?

well why would it be the throwout bearing if its squealing with no pressure on the clutch...could it be the fork? or lack of lube on the parts for the clutch and cable, etc.?

your describing what the throwout bearing does when it goes down to a t.foot completely off the clutch noise, foot slightly on and then some the noise goes away.

He said it makes the noise with the clutch engaged so it would be the tranny bearings.

I agree with ford tough on this because why would the bearing make noise when its engaged the bearings only purpose is to disengage the clutch
