blower motor problems
I have a 92 GT, and for some reason the blower motor for the A/C won't come on. Sometimes it comes on and sometimes it won't. To make things
worse, my turn signals and rear defrost will not work when the blower motor doesn't. Is the turn signals somehow tied into the blower motor relay? Any suggestions? I'm afraid I'm going to get pulled over soon for not having turn signals, and I'm tired of using hand signals.
Any help would be appreciated!

Wow that's crazy!!!
You post something about "what short shifter should I buy?", and everyone and their mommas reply to it. You post a genuine problem, and nobody replies to it [:@]

RE: blower motor problems
i had a buick in the other day and it would have head lights come on when u hit the brakes, and reverse lights with the turn signals, and all kinds of crap. ended up being a courtesy lamp fuse after 3 hours of @#$# around. i dunno if that helps you or not, i just needed to vent on that one.
Edit :: ok i read your problem again. i would check to see if there are ANY wires or relays that connect your multifunction switch (turn signals/brights) to your rear defrost or the switches for your blower controls. or there could possibly be a bunch of wires taped together inside the dash that control these components, and the wires are shorted through.

RE: blower motor problems
I tryed switching the ignition on and off, and about the third time switching it on, it comes on. So I guess it has something to do with the ignition switch.
Thanks for the suggestion!!!

Play with the ignition switch and see if it turns on.
When my ignition switch went bad it acted the same way.

RE: blower motor problems
I got to looking in the steering column, and where the previous owner had installed a Viper alarm, instead of using connectors to tap into the ignition wire, he used duct tape.
I believe this is where the short is. But just to be safe, I will replace the wiring, and the switch.
I'll let you know what happens.

RE: blower motor problems
I replaced the ignition switch and now everything seems to work just fine. When I went to take the old ignition switch off, it broke apart in my hands. Definitely needed replacing. Thanks for the tip!
