I tried a hammer and screwdryver between the pump and cover but it cracked the timing cover but its nothing some jb weld won't fix, lol. I know that sounds bad but I can't afford a timing cover unless I really have to. I might have to bust out the air hammer.

Try hitting the air hammer at the ear of the water pump to break them off. I wouldn't trust jb weld on it.

you should probably get a good sized tube of anti-seize, you would be amazed how many headaches it could save you.

Be careful where you pry...or where you swing a hammer or you could wind up doing what I did:


Just broke a couple decent sized chunks off the timing cover and someone managed to put a hole in the front of it after I got the pump off haha
