The dealership didn't sell it to you with cash in hand? You must have been extremely young or they were totally stupid.

Thats the way it was back then. I would had to of been 21 years old to get it in my own name and I wasn't there yet. I cashed in every savings bond, every dollar I earned in my dads shop and just about every penny I made on the side to buy that car, I'm still mad, lol

yeah I would have been pissed too, but you probably should have checked with the dealership first before going through all that trouble.

That was the plan even though I had my doubts my dad would have gone for it. I went and talked him into "Just go look" I couldn't have a car in my name until I was 21 so he would have had to been responsible until then. I ended up moving just across the state line just so I could get a car in my name at 18 so I wasn't faced with that problem again. I also started buying small block cars with either auto or 3 speed transmissions and converting them over because Insurance was going through the roof.

sorry to bring up an old thread but might be looking at doing this myself.

I'd be putting a 460/C6 in place of a 5.0/T-5 set up, in a 95 GT.
just had a few questions hopefully someone can help.

What do i need to do the stick/auto swap, i assume an aod crossmember, anything else?
can i use a pre 86 mustang gas tank, as it will be a carbed set up, or will that not fit on the Sn95 body.

How much does the 94-95 mustang rely on its computer, can i just rip that stuff out. I've heard people mention the headlights and such run through the harness, any details appreciated.

N/A

ps can i just space the body and stock k-member with shims like some people do on the foxes? and where do i buy the shims,

and any details on the accessory set up would be nice

the swap itself, u can use the stock gas tank all you need is a new fuel pump and a regulator. The sn 95 (94-04) relied heavily on comp. If you wanted to run a fuel injection setup you could use the 89-93 computers and modify the firing order and some other things. Your gonna need a new tranny as the t5 wouldnt hold up to a stock 429/460. A c6 is your best bet cheap tough and pretty common. good luck
