Default Throttle body or cable problems???

Hello there, first time poster.
The other day i pulled in the driveway as normal and shut the car off. When i came outside 5 minutes later to move it, The gas peddle felt as if it was not attached to any thing. I looked and it was still attached to the cable. The car was idleing. I looked under the hood and tried reving the car up manually with the throttle body. I couldnt even get the throttle body to move. What could be the problem and is there a way to free it up? I have a 1987 5.0 mustang gt

Turn the car off, take the tubing off from the throttle body and push the manual throttle opening lever thing(the thing you press to make your car rev) and see if it actually opens the throttle body or not, that can at least let you know if you are opening it or if it's stuck. Really easy to tell if it does too.

It sounds like your throttle body may be gummed up. You need to clean it or get a new one.
