Default gt-40 intake swap

Will the throttle cables from the mustang bolt on the explorer tb. and do i need to get any special tb. adapter for the tb. to fit the intake the angle it needs to be. thx

you will have to put the egr spacer on the explore intake, also have to take the long bolts that held the spacer and tb on the stangs intake and put them on the explores. Or you can get the egr delete spacer than has the right tab on the side to bolt the throttle cable to it

if you plan to delete egr you can use this

what i did was use the mustang egr spacer, but i deleted the egr buy making a custom plate to cover the egr holes

if i delete the egr will the check engine light stay on also what kind of headers did you use for the gt-40 heads because i was thinkin about getting them from the same truck, guy wants $200 for the heads so i cant pass that up does your b303 cam have a lopey idle i want a nasty sounding cam but i also want it to work right and be efficient thx

if you do it right the computer will delete the egr setupon its own. And no the light will not stay on. I have MAc shorties on mine, but if your thinking about geting the heads off the explore (or is this coming off a pickup), need to know the year model of the explore.

The b-cam gives a decent idle but nothing really wild. Really depends on what power range and future mods you want but the e-cam is nice and has a good loopy idle.

yeah it is an explorer i think its a 2001 this is the same truck i can get the intake and heads from. how would a guy know if he is getting the the "good' gt-40 heads?

ok well that would be the GT_40p heads off that motor, which would mean you need special headers for the spark plugs to clear. if you do get them call or go online to
50resto.com, they have the correct headers you will need. not fo rsure if there online but they should know what your talking about if you call
