Default AFR or Victor Jr. Heads? Why?

I am having trouble deciding on which heads to get. I am planning my 408 build and have been looking at these two heads. The AFR 225cc with 58cc chambers and a set of the Edelbrock Victor Jr heads with the 210cc runners with 60cc chambers. If any of you all were to choose regardless of cost, money isn't the factor here. Which one of these two heads would you all choose and why. These heads will be going on a fully forged 408W short block. I haven't made up my mind if I will stick it in my coupe or build another car. But this car will be a track only, trailer queen with this engine combo as I expect high compression and a butt load of RPM's. I don't want this to get into a pi$$ing match either, I'm not going with Trick Flow heads, so don't bother to suggest them. Thanks in advance.

Big Chris

No reason really. It is a stock block out of a 1996 truck. I also heard something about rod bolts and clearing the camshaft in some cases. I just don't know much about the 427 kits, not that I would turn down more cubic inches. I just think the 408 kit would be more reliable for a season or two unless I break it sooner, which we all know is a possibility.

AFR they also have lots of room left if you want them machined down the road. My cousin has a 408 in a coupe and he has actualy had 3 sets of heads on it.

he goes 3 tenths faster with his afr compared to the darts and vict jr's

he has a comp 274 cam/dart block/250-300 shot

Certainly not lots of room left in them at all. The vic jr is not even in the same ball park as an afr225, useless comparison. I dont care if you dont want to hear it, but look at a 225 Hi port and compare it to a an AFR225, the vic jr is a dog comparatively speaking.
